Spring Fling Duathlon

On Sunday March 22nd the Spring Fling took place in Woodward Park, Fresno, California. The weather did not fully cooperate as it rained during registartion. Once the race started the rain slowed down and by the time we finished the awards the sun came out for a while.
Despite the bad weather we had a great turnout. Close to 100 athletes participated in the 4 mile run, followed by about a 10 mile bike. Due to the rain and wind we shortened the bike portion. After the bike the athletes completed this duathlon with a 2 mile run.
Lutz Braun completed the course in 0:59:05, followed by Ben Regan and Gus Gomez. By the women Felicia Gomez won in a time of 1:03:31, followed by Maureen Sheehan and Megan Piepgrass.
We would like to thank all our volunteers who came out and supported us in this less than perdect weather. We would also like to thank all the sponsors to help us make this event a success.
