Shaver Lake Triathlon 2008

Olympic Distance: 1.5 K Swim / 40 K Road Bike / 10 K Mile Run
Course: Course: The race takes place in and around the beautiful, majestic town of Shaver Lake. Both the Sprint and Olympic distance will start and finish at Camp Edison. The bike and run course are out and back, with rolling hills. Sprint Distance starts 8 a.m. Olympic Distance starts 8:30 a.m.
Event Schedule: Sunday, 09-21-08: Packet Pick-up & registration at Camp Edison 6:00 a.m. till 7:45 a.m.
Awards: Awards will be presented to overall male and female winner, and to top 3 finishers in each category. Age groups are divided in 5-year increments 19 and younger, 20-24, 25-29 to 55-59, and 60 and up). Awards will be presented to the first 3 teams - we will not make the distinction among coed, male, or female teams. Results will be posted on our website.
Rules: All participants must sign a waiver. All participants need to wear an approved helmet (Ansi or Snell) while on the bike. Straps on helmet must be closed at all times. No bike riding in transition area. No drafting on the bike is allowed. Failure to follow the race rules will result in disqualification. Caution: traffic will be monitored at intersections, but course is not closed for vehicles. Stay on the right as much as possible. Athletes can not ride or run with headphones.

Entry Fee Includes: Quality custom designed T-shirt till supply last, swim cap & lunch. We will provide aid stations along the run course. Extra lunch tickets can be purchased on race day for $8. Entry fee will go up $10.00 after 09/01/08.

The Millerton Mile
Event Date: 6/15/2008

Sunday June 15th, 2008

Start:





8:30 a.m. for USAS swimmers
9:30 a.m. for Masters
All swims are deep water starts.
15 minutes prior to race start there will be a mandatory race briefing at the court house.
If the number of entries exceeds expectations, the
meet director may divide male and female swimmers into waves for safety.

Entry Fee: Entry is $35 for pre-registered athletes before 6-1-08. After 6-1-08 or race day registration is $40. All participants will receive a swim cap. All pre-registered participants who register before 6-1-08 will receive a customized T-shirt. Athletes who register after 6-1-08 or on race day will receive a shirt until we run out.

Event Sanctioning: The 1-mile Masters swim is a USMS/PMS sanctioned event, while the USAS 1-mile swim is sanctioned by USA Swimming/CCS. All swimmers must be current 2008 registered members of one of these organizations in order to compete. Membership information may be obtained by contacting the numbers below.

Course: Swim: The swim is in Millerton Lake - wetsuits are allowed.
Bike: The bike is out and back with rolling hills.
Run: The run is both on pavement and trails - out and back.

FWY 41 coming from the South: Take exit Friant road. Turn right at the traffic light - you are on Friant road. Stay on this road for the next 15 miles till you pass the small town of Friant. Take a left turn at the bottom of the dam. Take a right at the stop sign. Then follow the signs to the start.

FWY 41 coming from the North: Take exit Friant Road. Turn left at the traffic light - you are on Friant road. Stay on this road for the next 15 miles till you pass the small town of Friant. Take a left turn at the bottom of the dam. Take a right at the stop following stop sign. Then follow the signs to the start.

Spring Fling Duathlon - 2008
Event Date: 3/22/2008
Spring Fling Duathlon will take place on Saturday March 22nd. Start and finish are at the back drinking fountain in Woodward Park.

Events are 4 mile run / 15 Mile Bike / 2 Mile run. Sign up by yourself or do the relay with a buddy. Medals will be awarded three deep in 10 year age groups. All pre-registered participants will receive a very cool commemorative T-shirt. Participants who register on race day will get a shirt, until we run out. There will be refreshments at the finish line.

Start: 7:00 AM sharp!

Registration: 6:00 AM at back drinking fountain in Woodward Park. Start and Finish and transition are in same area.

Valentines Fun Run/Walk
Event Date: 2/11/2007
Start the New Year out right, run or walk with your partner, friend or child, or join us to meet maybe the love of your life! You can participate as an individual, or sign up as a co-ed team. The first 100 people to sign up will receive a pair of valentines socks.

Dinner for two will be given away for the first co-ed couple to win. You do not need to run together - we will add up the finishing times. Instead of individual or age group awards we will give raffle prizes as lunches and dinners to local restaurants, to give all runners and walkers an equal change to win a prize.

Entry Fee: Your entry fee will include customized socks to the first hundred entries.
